Question:
Answers:
I felt that way on Effexor, I stopped paying my bills for 4 months...Zoloft made me feel even more depressed...it all depends on your body chemistry. I finally quit taking pills and going to therapy 3 years ago and decided to try to make myself happy and just be happy with myself.
i experienced that as well except it did not help much with my anxiety nor depression
ask your doctor for prozac or zoloft
lexapro is horrible i hate it
I was on Lexapro and it did the opposite. It made me stay awake all night. Definitely give Zoloft a try.
Often when people react negatively to a antidepressant, it may be something other than simple depression. You may be dealing with bipolar, borderline pesonality et. al.
It had the opposite effect on me... the symptoms you described might be due from the depression itself and not the medication. Discuss it over with your doctor and see if there needs to be a medication adjustment.
I am uncertain as to how long you have been taking Lexapro. Sometimes it makes a difference after you have been on it for a few weeks.
Lexipro is a good med. The first couple weeks, I was fatigued and really nauseas! Then, for a couple or so more, I felt less fatigued , but still tired. I also was hungry alot. But after the initial "yuk" was over, life slowly began to be calmer and oh, so much happier. Ya know, while your body gets use to the stuff, take a nap whenever you can! I did, otherwise I couln't focus on sh*t! either. I almost stopped taking the med for the same reason, and I'm sure alot of Lexipro users had the same thought!!
I was on lexapro for about a week b4 I decided it wasn't for me. I liked it, but the reviews for it are pretty bad. Ppl say it makes u gain weight and makes you impotent. Well, I liked that when I was on it I felt like I was tripping every day bc I had these hilarious dreams and I just laughed in my sleep all the time, and I became a lot more loopy. I decided I would try to get over my issues w/o medication, and it hasn't really been working.
I was on 20mg of Lexapro for years. When I first started taking it it did seem to make me tired. However, I also had periods of feeling extremely hyper. I think you should give it a little longer. Sometimes it takes awhile for the full and complete affect of the drug to take shape. After my initial ups and downs I settled into a fairly even state. I worked for my depression much better than anything else I've ever taken.
