I went into a MENTAL INSTITUTION!!?

Not for being crazy but for spray painting my school at 3 am LOL. This is what it was like. My school sent me to a mental institution because of what I did. When I got there all the windows are locked, your locked into a section of the hospital. All the kids in mine had gotten into fights and stuff like that. One kid pulled a knife on his mom LOL. A nurse wakes you up at 7:30, you eat breakfast. They had GROUP all day. The staff has shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. then the second one comes at 7:00 pm till morning. We watched intervention for the kids who did drugs LOL. they give the kids who smoke PATCHES lol. They had a quiet room with a 2 way mirror. If your good you can stay up till 10 pm LOL. You stay for 3 to 8 days but this black staff member was lieing saying some people stay for a year and everyone belied him. When its raining you cant hear the lighting LOL. the windows are like 4 inches thick.

Okay it doesn't sound like you went through anything bad. You did something stupid but most likely fun, and you got caught. You had to suffer the presence of other kids you seem to have deemed hilariously pathetic and other than getting in trouble it sounds like your only problem was a punishment of a week or less of boredom.

If I'm wrong...I'm sorry but thats the impression I got.

Schools by law aren,t allowed to send you there legally.Only a court and your parents are allowed by law to send you there.Also there is a law that no one can receive treatment without giving their consent.

You poor thing. I know someone who went into a psychiatric hospital for a few weeks, and he said at first it was like being at a resort. Then he said the staff turned on him and treated him like a terrorist, and that when they do that you no longer have any rights, and that the staff abused and bullied him. He said that this was totally wrong of them, because he went into the hospital voluntarily, and did not pay $20,000 to have sadist nurses bully him. So, I know now that I never want to go to a place like that.

Hmm is the school allowed to send you to an insitution. i doubt it. if i were u i wud be getting your parents to get right up the school. Yes u did something wrong but sending you to an institution is hardly the right punishment.

Ok, sounds like you had an experiance, it also sounds lik it is easy to get yourself into an institution where you are (2 large overdoses in 2 months is no where near enough here to get yourself institutionalised, or for them to suggest going into an institution).

Try not painting windows at 3am in the future.

That's stupid. No offense but you did something that would put you in jail not a mental hospital. You belong in jail more than you belong there. I'd be pissed about going there. My friend went and told me all about the people she met. Not a good scene. Anyhow the idea of sending you there for that is nuts.

Id really like to be in a mental institution for a couple of months to get out of the chaos in my life.. Id do anything to be in one.. It would probably be more fun then my boring summer life right now (stay home every day, havent gone anywhere)
