You could try St. john's wort, and pay about 20 dollars a bottle and deal with the sun sensitivety and interference with birth control, or you could do like me and print off walmarts list of of generic prescription antidepressant and anxiety drugs that cost 4 dollars a month even with no insurance, bring it to your doctor and pay him a one time fee of around 70 dollars and save alot more money and get alot more effective of a treatment than you would with stupid ineffective over the counter crap.
St. John's Wart is said to have an effect on depression, though the research backing is split. Your best bet is going to be to locate a university or mental health facility near you that trains graduate students. Here, you will receive treatment free of charge as part of the grad student's training experience. Seek individuals performing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for panic disorder and depression, as well as the road rage. Good luck!
Valerian is an herb they actually took valium from. If taken consistently it will help have a calming affect. There are many combinations in Health Food Stores specifically for mood enhancement and feelings of well being. Rhodiola has been proven to help boost the seratonin in the brain which causes depression and anxiey. A good combination of B vitamins will help the nervous system geatly. Need to take them consistently for a length of time. Are your hormones normal. Much Anxiety is caused from too much or too little in this area of the body.
I would call your local pharmacy and ask them...I know there's alot of herbs that people have suggested on this site.st john's wart is one of them...or look up a web site for natural medicine/anxiety..
best of luck....
Medication is your best bet. If you will get a prescription and then contact the manufactuers of those drugs, they will give you free meds, especially if you are broke.
i know it's hard to do when ur depressed, but if u walk for 30 minutes, u will release endorphins naturally and not have to take meds. don't watch/read anything that makes u feel bad. watch/read something funny.
road rage... ur angry and u need counseling. pills won't fix that.
i'm sorry u feel bad, please reach out to a trusted friend or family member and tell them u need help. sometimes we need people to "carry" us through the rough times.
hang in there, it will get better, i promise.
Hi,
sometimes you can do it through your diet and what you eat. If you do a google search and type in 'diet for anxiety and depression', a whole bunch of links will come up with suggestions on what to eat and what vitamins to take. Sometimes taking care of a vitamin or nutrient deficiency can help alot. Most people find out that they are deficient after they take a blood test at the doctors office. Sometimes you can figure it out by keeping a food journal of what you're eating, and figuring out what you can add or reduce in your diet. Carbs can also affect your mood, so can sugar. Take some time and do some research on food, you'll be surprised in how what you eat can affect you.
Talking about it also helps, there are message support boards where you can talk your feelings out and talk to others who are know what you're going through. Also, it helps to keep a journal (either on paper on typed and saved on your computer). Also look into anger management techniques, to help you deal on the road.
Taking a pill, whether herb or RX is not getting to the cause of the fact that you are depressed. You can cover it up, but I think dealing with it may be better, unless you have a chemical imbalance --as cause and not result.
I suggest a meditation. Get comfortable in a quiet place, close your eyes, relax all of your body, one part at a time.
See healing white light coming in and healing your body and mind, then going to a beautiful place. See it, feel it, notice colors, sounds, and then sit down and feel that you are safe.
Then see a creature come towards you, any creature, you will see your own. Feel its love and know it is your guide.
Then ask a question, such as Why am I feeling sad or depressed right now? or What can I do to get over my depression? or Tell me what I need to know right now?
Then wait for the answer. It might come then or later.
At some point you bid goodbye for now, knowing you can always meet again, and gently come back int the room. Your own inner wisdom will be there for you.
if its that bad the next time u have an anxiety attack go to the ER tell them ur broke u have no money for treatment but u need help i dont think that they can deny u.
In Iran, Borage tea (گل گاوزبان in Persian) is traditionally used for its soothing effect. I can confirm that it really works. After drinking a mug of Borage tea, you will feel calm and relaxed the whole day. It is also very tasty, if you drink it with lemon.
However I'm not sure if it is wise to eat it very often. Once or twice a week would be OK, I guess.
