Zoloft For Attention Deficit Disorder?

Question:
I read where zoloft can treat ADD?. Can it help concentration in higher doses?. Can it help someone focus like Ritalin?. Can it "shut off the mind of racing thoughts"?

Answers:
no zoloft is no good, believe me, and if you don't, read about it on www.antidepressantfacts.com it will shock you so be prepared.
I've heard of it being used "off label" for ADD. That means it isn't intended to treat ADD but has been prescribed to do so. However, Zoloft is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) and recent studies have shown ADD to be caused by defects in the dopamine receptors on the neurons in the brain...
Only your doctor can decide what's right for you. BUT, never take a prescription given by a doctor without asking exactly why they are giving you that particular medication, how it works, the side effects to watch for.
If u have add u need ritalin, zoloft is for depression,AND IT MAKES IT HARD FOR YOU TO GET A *****, DON'T RISK IT!
