To Increase Confidence:

1. Make a list of your strong points.

All the positive things about yourself and the things that you are good at doing. Think of compliments you have received or things that come easily to you. It doesn't matter what it is, if it's good, write it down.

2. Choose two of those things that you want to work on to improve even more.

It's important to succeed and by concentrating on the areas you are already good at you will have a better chance of becoming even more sure of yourself. Remember that success builds upon success.

3. Exude confidence even if you don't feel like it.

Talk to yourself in an encouraging way and stay away from negative thoughts and people as you can.

Instead surround yourself with positive, confident, and successful people. This will become a habit and one that will build confidence.

4. Look at yourself in a different way than you are used to doing.

It can change your life and help your confidence level to rise. See yourself as the self confident person you want to be and before you know it you will become that person.

If you have a set-back do not let it get the best of you. Remember the times when you exhibited self confidence and how good it felt and then try again and each time will help you to build confidence and confidence building will become a way of life.

When I was 19 I was a skinny insecure guy..no girlfriend, not even a kiss. It wasn't that I was unattractive, I just saw myself that way.

Then I visited a nude beach.

That was pretty much self torture, but I guess I was curious about it. Little did I know it would change my life. I saw others around me as imperfect but happy just the way they were and with time I learned to understand that..which changed the way I saw myself, the way I compared myself to others and the way I viewed my self worth.

Be a NUDIST..if you can liberate your body, you might just liberate your mind. Afterall.the battle for confidence is waged between the ears anyways, is it not?
Success is the best confidence booster, if it's in sports or work or even a computer game. Realizing you can succeed at what you set out to achieve is what builds your confidence.
For me it is to see one of my pieces of work published in a journal or in a chapbook. Why? I'm not sure. I get satisfaction in learning about anything! I love to learn. Reading. Listening to (yep!) Country Music. Seeing God's glorious world and talking to friends. And making babies and toddlers laugh. Do any of those make you laugh? Humor helps the most!
For me I tell myself to be positive in all I do and in my actions to. Plus I tell myself that I am important and smart and caring and compassionate and a kind person. I accept myself for who I am. I don't try to dwell on the things I can't change about myself, I do work on things I don't like to improve my appearance and my self esteem and confidence. So be positive, and accept yourself for who you are. Also focus on your strengths, what ever your good at, do it alot. Don't focus on anything negative. good luck! hugs! Von
