Every since I got on antidepressants...?

Question:
for anxiety... I have had this weird feeling. Its like instead of having sensations of anxiety... I have different sensations in situations where I would normally have anxiety... instead of feeling pain and burning in my chest my whole body feels like I just got thrown into a hot bath and it feels really good... also I feel it alot when I am just sitting here doing nothing and its the anxiety that comes from the thought that I should get out and do something... but instead of wanting to avoid doing something because going out would make my anxiety worse, I actually want to do something to feel more intensley this wonderful sensation going through my body that used to be anxiety... like every time I get nervous I feel pleasure instead of pain.

Answers:
If you are on medication for anxiety these reactions are not too uncommon. I know a few people on meds for anxiety and what they most commonly describe is the feeling of the anxiety being blocked... but it is a very physical reaction. You're most likely experiencing a physical reaction that is as strong as the anxiety that it's blocking. If you are happier than great! I would suggest that if it gets to be bothersome however that you talk to the person that prescribed your pills.
Huh. Maybe your dosage is a smidgen too high.
Lucky you.
So it seems your medicine is working, no?
Are you sure you're not talking about cocaine? But seriously those are pretty weird reactions to antidepressants - they dont sound bad though. Have you ever tried St. John's Wort? It works pretty well and it sounds like you may be hypersensitive to these things.
i am taking celexa..the best from all the antidepressant I took.. I dont have that kind of pleasure you have..its totally normal..my brain works well and i get focused..i could still feel reality bites but my mind is more broad.i could still feel the pain, but its bearable now..
I'm a little confused.

Your were prescribed anti-depressants for anxiety?

I would be asking my doctor a whole lot of questions. Like, is he trying to experiment?

You should likely see a therapist who will teach to handle problems easily and without pills.

And, you can get all those same sensations without ever taking a pill just by getting high on life.

You should have started on a low dose and worked up to a larger dose if needed. Ask your Doctor, your dose may be too high, I don't think you should feel those sensations.
Medication has desired effect. You found the right medication for yourself, should keep taking it.
