see a doctor (psychologist, or a sleep study clinic), get some sleep studies done, and then the doctor can put you on some medication or order treatments to help. Night terrors is an actual sleepign disorder so you should have it checked out.
Whenever I have a nightmare and someone dies or gets hurt or something I would just say to myself, hey this is my dream. and then I would just sit calmly in my dream. After a while the person that was hurt would come back to life or something. my brain has such an imagination.
