Question:
Can anyone recommend a good book to help a grandmother stop enabling her drug addicted grandson? She doesn't identify with the concept of codependency and just needs some help to understand how her well-motivated behavior is misguided and how to stop enabling.
Answers:
Yes, I can help. She can get anything from the Al-Anon Family Groups or one of these -
Codependeny No More - Melodie Beatty or anything by Pia Mellody. Go to an Al-Anon meeting in your area for the literature (you can find them online) and go to Amazon for the Codependency books.
You may also write me - Fletcherina@yahoo.com if you need to talk about it. I would be glad to help. I know it is hell on earth to watch an addict go down the drain. I would be glad to talk to her,
