Question:
I am Starting to worry about the possibility of having depression, i am 13 and have type 1 diabetes (which increses the risk) it also runs in my dads side of the family, i feel sad most of the time, i used to be a realllllly happy person, now i feel like i have no friends, i do. i always want to just sit in my room in the dark. i am really nervous about talking to anyone about this. is this depression or some strange teenage hormone voo doo?
any information or other syptoms would be appreciated

Answers:
well as scary as it may be, talk to your parents about it and ask them to get you a counselor, thats what i did and its made all the difference, no drugs or anything
Speak with a Mental Health Counselor!!
Whatever it may be you should talk to some one about it...and don't be embarassed...it's nothing to be embarasses about!
It could be something to do with your hormones. However, more than likely the hormones are affecting your blood sugar levels. Tell your doctor. They may need to adjust that. Many times, surges in blood sugar levels will cause depression.,
oh wow i was exactly the way u are at that age except the diabetes im really sry about that =(
i was reeeaaaly happy then i felt like i had not friends and i did what u did
but thats not the way u should take care of it u really need to just open up and try to look at the best in things
i hope i helped u
It very well could be related to your diabetes as well as your body changing due to the normal adolescent stuff happening.
Next time you go see your doctor, you should bring it up. It couldn't hurt.
