What should I do? Advice please.?

Question:
I'm cycling to Santander in Spain from Derby. Plan is to go via Andorra and Switzerland. I suffer from depression and take Citralopram. I need a 2 month supply to go but the doctor wont give me nearly enough. I'm thinking about just stopping taking them. I'm on 20mgs at the moment. Great experiences should be grabbed and I won't be denied.

Answers:
Don't suddenly stop taking them ween your self off,of them. If you just stop it could make you ill.
GOOD LUCK!
Not a good idea, I remember when I stoped taking my anti depressant for one day and the whole day I was dizy so I would sugest that you split your medicin up and only take 10mg and see how you feel. Believe me you wont have a good time if your medicin has side effects.
huh??
Whoa, there, cowboy. Find out what'll happen if you suddenly stop, it might be disastrous. Ask your doc to recommend another doc or clinic that you might contact to refill your script. Your doc knows you're going and won't give you enough? Time to shop for a new caretaker, perhaps.
Stopping suddenly could have unwanted side-effects. I'm assuming that since this is a two-month trip, you'll be stopping in places. Talk to your doctor and see if it's possible to have your script forwarded to another pharmacy wherever you'll be at in a month so you can get it renewed on time, and your doctor won't have to worry about you abusing your meds. Doctors that had no reservations about you would probably be willing to do that. Have you shown your doctor you're not trustworthy with your medication?
Depending on how soon you are leaving.
Is it possible for you to see another doctor and explain the situation and see if he will do it for you.
IF not, i would see your other doctor and tell him you are thinking of going off the medication, and maybe the shock value will force him into giving you another month supply.
Well, ask for enough to get you through...

Had VERY similar issue w/MY doc,and he KNOWS that I

need 2 take my medicine (for my seizures!)...

Best of luck! :D
talk to your doctor, stay on your meds.plan a route and theres a way to get stuff there im sure.
See if your insurance will cover a months worth at a higher dosage, and then split the pills with a pill cutter. It'll give you twice as many that way without hopefully costing you more.

I would not stop taking it if you have been on it for a while.

if that doesn't work, you can attempt to get a one month supply and take one every other day to keep it in your bloodstream rather than stop taking it all together. Ask your dr. if they think you might be able to get away with this.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist to ship them to you when you are about to run out.Talk to them about this before you leave.
