Cipralex 10mg give more sideeffects? changing medicine is better?
Question:
Answers:
You're feeling like this, and experiencing these side-effects because Anafranil and Cipralex are different classes of antidepressants, have different pharmacological actions, and therefore, different side-effects.It's normal to experience side-effects,especially when you first start your medication.I suspect that you're having difficulties because Anafranil is highly sedative, whereas Cipralex has no sedative action, and can sometimes interfere with normal sleep patterns. My advice would be to stick with the Cipralex for a while, but if you find that it's not suiting you, then go back to your doctor and discuss this with him/her.

Hi
Im on Cipralex 20mg. Like yourself i i started on a low dose and had a weeks worth of really bad side effects, to the extent it was dangerous for me to drive.
But i can assure you they do pass and the tablets really work !
I had mine for depression and panic attacks .
One thing i must say is when you are ready to come off them speak to the doc. i tried to take one every other day and couldnt work out why i was feeling so rough again!
If you need something to make you sleep try Whitechestnut drops they wont do you any harm.
Good luck and stick with the pills !
Ive been on them for nine months and it was worth ploughing through the side effects.
I'm taking Cipralex at the moment. I took it for a year, came off it for about 4 months and then went back on it and had just about every side effect on the list. It was strange because I hardly suffered last time. I felt like I had flu - was achy all over and so tired I could barely drag myself out of bed. I've been taking it for about a month now and all of the side effects have pretty much gone.
I went back to the docs about it and they suggested I perserve with it. I've taken various other a/d drugs in the past and they all have side effects. It's when you keep getting them or they become unbearable that you must change them.
I had to take two weeks off on the sick from work in the end cos I was so bad.
