does it say on the instructions to avoid tea?
Tea in fact may help you feel better.
I know MANY people in their 80's with OCD and they are still alive and functioning. I hope you can get some therapy that does not focus on drugs.
Happy day to you. We are all different and you are only 12. I am curious what the details are going on here.
Take care.
No it won't
don't worry about it, you should be ok.
I've never heard that.
There should be a paper that came with your prescription that tells all about the side-effects and what you should or shouldn't do or eat while taking the medication. If tea was a problem, it would be listed on that sheet.
If you don't have that sheet anymore, a pharmacy can answer your question.
tea is good, you can find some with herbs and roots that specific for that , go to a organic store they have a lot of products for that, also exercise , so you can sweet it out four body, so as sauna
How much are you drinking??
You shouldn't have any problem. You should be more concerned about the caffeine and it's likelihood to keep you up too late or work against calcium absorption.
As long as you are on a well balanced diet you should be fine.
Now, since you just started the medication may I make a suggestion? Write a daily journal. Keep track of how you are feeling and any side effects. Sometimes people do great with the first med that is given to them. Some need to try several to find the right one. So keep a journal and that way you and your parents and doctor can track how you are feeling.
Best of luck!
I take Effexor and drink tea all the time. Don't worry about it. The Effexor should start working in a few more days. And tea is good for you. Especially green tea.
