I have the same trouble. For me, I call it "deer in headlights". I freeze up and can't access any thoughts. I have thoughts racing through my head and I can't stop them long enough so that I can get what they are and use them. I feel absolutely like I am watching myself from the outside (I dissociate) and can't help myself. I know I have the information to make the right choices, but I can't figure out between any of them what is the best option. I just literally can't catch onto a thought. And I usually end up doing the worst option. But it's the only one I can access.
