Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Prozac??
Ok so i just get diagnosed with OCD today. Its really affecting my energy....i cant even drive! or sleep or do anything.....and my doctor talked to me just about Prozac? Does anyone know anything about this disorder and Prozac...i really wanna know as much as possible in the order of it. so any help will be appreciated!

Answers: Prozac is of late one of many drugs approved for OCD, there's Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, & a few more that i can't suppose of right now. Many relations have different types of OCD. Some own more compulsions, & some more obssessions. If you have more compulsions you'll usually do more rituals, if you hold more obsessions you'll usually newly have obssesive thoughts that turn into central worries ect. Just search the internet, at hand are lots of sites. But here's what i'll say just about obssesive compulsive disorder, to some, they can act similar to hypochondriacs. And what i mean is sometimes it's better not to know what others are going through. For instense you might not hold a problem but so & so is then you start worring going on for that & all of sudden you start doing that **** too. So sometimes smaller amount is more. Main thing is that you don't consent to it rule your life. You don't step into your problems that much so i'm not sure what to say. Personally & this is basically me now, none of the medication have worked for me. They can minister to i guess, but it usually depends on what you do, more than the meds. And i've decided beside my job to procure on the cheapest form of drug in that group, because within my estimation they're all one and the same so if your short on cash simply buy a generic 4 dollar medication in that group at walmart. I anticipate i don't want to frighten you or anything but ocd is not like some of the other ailments associates have. They really haven't come out beside a medication that does a super duper great job. Prozac is used for OCD but it's mostly a drug for depression. So are most of the other drugs used for OCD. As far as therapy go, most people right to be heard cognitive therapy is honourable, but that doesn't work so well for me, make happen i get pissed rotten when some guy that doesn't know me so well starts maxim that something i'm saying is irrational. He doesn't know me, best entry is to find somebody that lets you speech, not someone that loves to hear themself talk. Also at hand are many, masses forms of OCD. Let your doctor tell you the one that you hold. And you might have more than one. But don't permit it control you. You can email me if you want. My sister has it too, but shes get a different type than me. And it used to be super bad, but presently she's got a husband & three kids & she does alright. Nobody ever thought she'd be capable of accomplish all of that, but she did! Anyway sorry for the huge run on paragraph, i've get to go devour lol.
