I really like my GP although I have only been with her a few years,I changed to her after bad experiences with the previous GP who was very dismissive of any womens health problems I had. This same doctor last year failed to spot serious health issues in my Mother and treated her repeatedly for a minor complaint which resulted in her collapsing and being diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer that was too late to treat-which could have been different if this doctor was 'on the ball' so to speak.
I'm fortunate my GP is very good. In fact there are five in the practice and two I have seen are excellent. Caring, helpful people.
thinking of changing mine.
Personally, I dont think very much of GP or Family Docs. Everyone I have ever been too has been an idiot.
If I have any problems, I goto specialists, because they are the one trained in the exact system of the body. And they have more training than GPs or Family Docs.
My GP is a fat guy named Patel and he is really funny. I CAN tell him anything.
When I explained a "pain in my neck when I bent my head this way", he answered: "Well, don't bend your head that way."
When I went in with a fungal nail infection on my toes, he took one look and said: "Hmmmmm, they are very visual". Then he pointed and said: "That's a fungal nail infection, that's a fungal nail infection and that IS a fungal nail infection!"
He's a nice guy and well educated but he won't always do what I tell him. they are on £100,000 a year since 2004 and work less than ever, so they do try and hustle you through your 10 minute spot. Still, most of them grew up under Thatcher so they are all greed heads anyway. They have a limited number of straegies for any condition,a nd live in fear of those blood sucking lawyers.
My GP is great!
In fact I sometimes think he is too good as he listens to what his patients have to say and their problems which always makes him late for his next appointment.
If you think your GP is fed up with you, you visit too often!
My GP is brilliant, I do worry because I suffer from depression, but yeah he is fabulous and will always listen and not shrug me off.
Can't fault my GP - she's brilliant. Still doesn't help the fact I have a phobia of the medical profession & dentists put there by some bad ones in the past!
My GP is brilliant he is very helpful and supportive has never made a wrong diagnosis I would trust him with anything my son and I never see any other doctors
I don't like mine at all. He's pompous, unfriendly and doesn't exactly make you feel relaxed. And he always smells of cigarette smoke.
I have not...because i worked as a gp for a long time..
just changed other doctors. the last one was alful she called me fat and i only weighed 5 stone but man she was some huge big fat momma so i told her i think you should look at urself madam and i walked out lol
I don't have a regular GP now, I just see whover is free.
I used to have one I saw regularly, she only gave me a week of pills at a time and would book me in for the week after, and then one day told me I was seeing her too much, even though it was her that had made me.
Then one time I was suicidal and desperate for help and she called me an attention-seeker.
After that I stopped seeing her, I'd rather see someone who doesn't know me than one who does but talks to me like that.
my first gp treated me like a pain in the but then i always saw a locum dr who never read my notes then pressed all my trigger points and i lost iit and smashed up the doctors then got sectioned my advice look 4 a shrink they'r much better at least they know and expect unusual people like us
I like my Gp
My GP is very good, but sometimes he is not very tactful. I am grieving for my partner and as a result of the circumstances of his death I have PTSD. However everytime I go there he keeps asking me why I don't just get another man, settle down and have a family. It is very upsetting.
I have to say on everything else he is brilliant and very understanding.
:-)))
overpayed useless tosser cheeky son of a ***** charged 80 quid for hgv medical then another tenner just to sign a photo.
I dont feel i can go to my GP for anything really x x x
