Answers:
Too much of anything is not good.
If you are avoiding your other responsibilities, and obligations to go on answers, it sounds like you are forming a serious addiction.
Try setting an hour or two a day aside to indulge your desire, and stick to it.
We all have compulsions. You just have to figure out if this is helping or hurting you. Are you browsing to avoid drudgery? How will you get paid? Maybe you need to switch majors.
i just started doing this. i dont think its bad. i like that i can throw my 2 cents into a question. and i get to ask my own dumb/smart questions too..
Like everything else, it will probably lose its lustor. If you think that you are addicted, try slowly reducing the amount of time you spend on YouQA.com . If you usually spend 3 hours a day, try reducing it to 2 and half hours a day. You will be fine!
I usually spend an hour a day on this site asking questions and answering questions.try doing that. especially if this is taking time away from your studies.
I am totally addicted as well, but only if I have the time, cause I have a 8 month old baby. Do your things you have to do firts and leave the best for last!
According to your profile you joined Y! Answers on 18 July, 2007. Seems to me that you have hardly set a trend here. Furthermore, by posting a question like this with a brand new profile, you give yourself the appearance of a troll. If you are, in fact, concerned that you have an abnormal obsession with Y! Answers or an abnormal obsession for any other thing, you should seek a professional evaluation. Obsession with anything to the point where you are afraid it is interfering with your life is good reason to get help.
according to my experience with YouQA.com
i found it very useful
since you can help other people and you can ask for other's help
also reading other answers and questions is useful too
but as they said before me
too much of anything is not good
i mean your studies are waaaaaay more important than y! answers
and also you're still in level 1 and with 100 points and you think you're addicted to it !!!!
that's really weird
anyways
hope you loosen you addiction thingy
and just try to ignore those temptations you're getting
When I was studying I had an issue with ...well...complete avoidance! Anything was a distraction and deemed more important.my Mum's ironing (she nearly died of shock), a drive to a shop 20 miles away because I HAD to have a certain brand of chocolate to help me study. I needed a cat to stroke to help calm my nerves..so I adopted one and lavished lots of love and time-consuming tickles. (Don't worry that this was on impulse, we had had cats before, she was with my family for 13 more years and very much loved.ha!)

Anyway, what I'm saying is, don't stress too much about it if you find it relaxing. It does sound like you are spending a bit too much time on here but it can be compelling. Why not decide how much time to "allow yourself" eg 1 hour a night. Then you have time for the important stuff too. It can be your reward.

Think about how much time other people spend on soap operas or sticking things in scrapbooks. This is just "your thing" but make sure you've also got a life. I imagine it'll be difficult to wean yourself off but I bet you'll be glad you did when you see more of your friends, get better grades, etc.

Good luck with your studies.
Hi Stranger! Hey we`ve all been addicted to something you know, but most is very easy to fix, you just quit doing it. I know that sound hard, but it is much easier than you might think. I am or should I say was a big consumer of the product Beer. And if I had continued in the way I was, well you know. I did quit by doing this mind thing, lol, I used my own will-power and affirmations like; I am not thirsty on anything but water today. It sounds kind of stupid, but it works for me and many others. I have with luck used the same trick many times, and it works. You know one of the most often things we think can be like; no, I can`t do that, and hey, you are programing yourself with bad mojo! ha ha ha, well anyway, have a great summer, good luck, peace and love from Norway
Stranger, welcome to the crowd, we all are here for the same reason, it's great, but letting it take up our priorities isn't right, I don't want to but I have to take a shower right now, I'm having dinner at a diner in a few hours. You should make yourself study, Friend Jimmy.
