What causes a person to fear they will hurt/kill someone?

Question:
What would cause a person to be afraid they will kill someone even if they claim they dont want to. Like they dont want to or have plans to but are consumed with a fear that they WILL. Is that an ocd, paranoia, personality disorder or what ? I know of 2 people in the same family that have had episodes of this. What is it a sign of?

Answers:
Those are obsessive thoughts. The person is usually terrified of acting in an inappropriate way, such as hurting or killing someone like you mentioned. The more the person fears or does not want these thoughts, the more they usually fill the person's mind. The thoughts usually stem from creating a "what if" situation that would cause embarassment, then they are perpetuated by fearing the thoughts. People with these thoughts are unlikely to act on them. Some people believe that obsessions and compulsions are linked to low seratonin levels.
Yeah, you can continue to feel guilt about the thought of shoving someone into a car. Or thoughts of stabbing ect... Or you can joke in your mind that maybe you will eventually get around to it. And laugh about it, and move on. Mind over matter, if you don't mind it don't matter.

Dorgin has a point.
this boy i used to go out with was

in a car accident with his brother

and his brothers body protected him

so my bf lived and his brother didnt

He used to be real paronoid that
