Bi-polar is a general term for when they don't know what else to call it. It's basically a disorder that plays havoc with your moods, you go up and down with no notice. There are several categories within the term Bi-Polar.

I have attached a few links to help you understand what it is and how varied it can be, hopefully it will help you understand how to deal with your partners mood swings.

Good Luck!
Everybody has bi-polar nowadays, my dear, just as 15 years ago everyone was a "borderline personality."

Despite this fact, you are being drug along by a selfish boyfriend who must think you spend your time on some shelf when you're not together.

Find somebody who isn't so selfish and ill. He doesn't sound bi-polar so much as Personality Disordered, a foul little mental health issue that isn't treated with drugs.

Read him the riot act and tell him what you expect from him as a boyfriend. It would be terrible to find out that those "bad days" are merely days he doesn't want to be with you.

Here's radical news: having a mental illness rarely excuses one from treating other people decently. I sense you are going to have a bruised ego.

Tell him: bi-polar people have a plethora of medications to control the illness. Tell him to find one and stick to it or find somebody else, a nice guy, who text messages things like "missin' u," etc.
