How Do i stop having A.DH.D?

You cannot get rid of ADHD. You will not grow out of it. I have a friend who was diagnosed with it at 32 and it answered ALOT of questions for him of why growing up was so difficult. You might want to try changing to a different medication, if you choose to continue on meds. Not all people with ADHD stay on meds. At least by knowing that you have it and having an understanding of how it affects you, you can work on management skills.
No, that is not how it works.
Meditation. Good luck, do it every day until you master it
my brother has the same thing. i know its hard but you have to pull yourself up when you notice you are doing something wrong. it will go away in time
how about...taking ur pills?
A.D.H.D. doesn't just go away.
Unless you WANT to be hyper and not concentrate, I'd continue taking the pills.
It never goes away. Once you turn 18 or become an adult it's then Adult ADHD. I have ADD and I took ritalin for it when I was younger and I stopped, but I still freaking have it, I'm 21 by the way. My mind still switched the freakin channel on me, and it won't ever go away. The pills suck, I know. But it's either that or really learn how to control it.
im 27 and i have it to. if i get off my meds im a mess in about 30 days. just stay on the meds. i know it sux but if i dont i get to goofy and cant concentrate. my kids have it to :(
Guess its better than aids or downs syndrome.. BE OPTOMISTIC LOL
You don't. It's a condition that you're stuck with. If current treatment isn't working, tell your doctor so you can pursue another course.
My son has ADHD, he has learned to try and be patient and to listen, keep focus and as you get older you will be able to recognized when you are losing focus, ADHD people are great, they will be very successful, and will do things other people won't. they will hold great jobs that require alot of movement and understanding, they will also notice things and people that others will not. be proud you have ADHD and live life to the fullest
You and I...must make a pact...we must never...drink CAPPUCINO! Is that an example of something silly you might do when hyper? Start singing to make people laugh?
Okay. Some people are just energetic no matter what, except when they're depressed. Accept yourself and take charge over what you allow others to do with YOUR future health NOW. You are naturally bubbly and energetic. You CAN learn behaviors, you can teach yourself how to behave mostly right. Without pills! Tell the doctor. Coz even though you're not 18, they'll have to start listening to you soon.
my brother has it. he takes the pills every morning.-but he kinda thinks it's cool :-(
its part of who u r and u wouldn't be the same with out it!
You will be always ADHD. It is not something like flue that passes after some time or with medicines.
The most important is self will to overcome and to control hyper activity. To be conscious about yourself, what you do. When you recognize your are hyperactive, than jsut shut down yourself by your own will. When you control yourself, the medicines should and will be reduced and eliminated.
Good luck!
its hard to just "stop having it" but try seeing a Doctor, a psychiatrist.
Well, you could always HEY LOOK! A quarter!
See ADD/ADHD at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris... on page 14. It may improve, as you age, and develop coping strategies: there are new medications worth trying, or dietary modification, and supplements, with daily practise of one of the relaxation/meditation techniques on pages 11, and 2.
hey adhd doent jus go away by it self.. nor right away.. the pills are there to help you. and mayb they are not helping you if u feel there is a problem i advise you to tel your mom and go back tothe doctor for new medz.. aiight byes good luck
You usually can't just stop having ADHD, but there are a lot of misdiagnosis in this field. My nephew was diagnosed and treated for years. After the medication started having adverse affects on him, we took him to a different doctor that had him tested for allergies. It seems he didn't have ADHD at all. He suffered from food allergies. The simple test to see if this is what is wrong-cut one of the following items out of your diet every two weeks and see if it has an effect on how you feel-sugar, milk, wheat, chocolate, red dye, caffeine-If you notice you feel better, tell your doctor. He can adjust your meds and maybe make more suggestions of allergens that may cause ADHD symptoms. Never stop taking meds without your doctors approval. This can cause serious side effects. Always inform your parents and doctor of what your doing and why.
Well, i don't really have an answer for you, only some advice. I don't have A.D.H.D. or A.D.D, but i know quite a few people who do... I'm going to be a junior in college. Heres my summer routine; Wake up, at 9:00, go to class from 10:00 to 11:35, come home, situate myself on the couch see whats on the movie channels, sleep for most of the rest of the day, and go out at night IF somethings going on and I don't have a test. If nothings going on, I'll go to my room and watch adult swim until i fall asleep. I'm in descent shape, but probably wont be for much longer. Heres my point, my day pretty much consists of NOTHING and it is insanely boring. The reason that I don't do anything though is because I don't have the drive to. I would kill to constantly have the urge to move around, like my roommate, and to not just sit around all day. I'm not saying that I understand your situation at all because I'm sure I wouldn't be able to unless i went through it. All I'm saying is that at least you aren't lazyass like me. Enjoy being hyper for as long as you can, take the pills if they help you with school because its kind of important, and just know that the opposite of hyper isn't any fun at all.
I have A.D.H.D., and just recently i have learned to accept it.
you need to stick up for yourself.
if people dont like you having A.D.H.D., then f*ck them. they cant accept you for it, then whatever. move on. there are more people in this world.
i have been taking ADERALL XR for [pretty soon to be a decade]. its annoying, and i hate it too.
but its just one of those things that you got to do. until you can control yourself without your medicine, then you cant just not take it anymore. if you want to stop taking your pills, then talk to your doctor about it right away. he will tell you weither or not you are ready to get off them.
