This is not a common side effect of Lamictal and you should contact your psychiatrist right away and describe these occurences.
Just a note, Lamictal is known to have terrible withdrawl symptoms, so check that out so you know what to expect if you and your doctor decide you should go off of the medication.
I took it and did not have those problems while on it. Talk to your Dr.
I was in the governments study on Lamictal back in the 1990's. Side affects awful. It caused me to sleep all the time but far worst was that fact I would lose the feelings and use of my legs. I would get a strange feeling in my head an down I would go. Thought I was having a stroke, really! One day I was outside feeding the dogs, about 20 feet from the back door when I lost it. (all feelings in my legs, arms and my MIND felt out of sorts! With being home by myself I had to scoot my way to the back door for safety,,It took me over 50 minutes to make it to the door and once I did I was unable to reach the door handle to craw into the house. God I prayed so hard for strenght! It may be okay for you to use Lamictal, who am I to judge, it's me not you. I could never nor would I ever take this Med ever again.
I'm on it, and I don't feel that way. I guess it varies from idividual to individual.
