On Friday, January 19, 2007, James Allenson, a 15-year old Freshman at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School was stabbed to death in a boy's bathroom with a carving knife, and was taken to Emerson Hospital in Concord where he was pronounced dead at 8:12 am. The victim also had cut wounds on his neck. The attack took place at approximately 7:20 am in the boy's bathroom and the victim was stabbed twice. Police arrested John Odgren, a 16-year old sophomore and special education student, and he was charged as an adult with first-degree murder. John Odgren, who has no criminal record, has Asperger's Syndrome, a mild form of Autism and Hyperactivity Disfunction Disorder. John Odgren often spoke about violence, killings, and crime, and knew about Forensics and how to committ the perfect murder. After the stabbing, the suspect blurted out "I did it. I did it." The suspect also told police with worry "Is he OK? I don't want him to die." Along with the murder charge, Odgren is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds.

Aspergers in itself does not cause violent behavior. However, because of all the discrimination and bullying that an aspie faces, some are unable to deal with the extreme frustration that arises.
Cho, the VT shooter, also had aspergers. In his case, he was actually arrested and locked up in a mental hospital for a short time because he asked a girl out on a date. That's right. He asked a girl out and got arrested and Baker Acted. Sadly, he, like all other aspies, had been treated this way his entire life. Is there any wonder why he exploded like he did?
The solution is better education for both aspies and their classmates.

Most youths with Asperger's do not engage in criminal behavior.
Its not because he has Asperger's Syndrome. Einstein and Newton both had his. His criminal behavior could have been brought on by a lot of things like his environment at home or school. Mental Retardation is not symptom of Aspergers.
