Has anyone that has taken Lexapro, starting seeing weird things when they wake up in the middle of the nite?

I took lexapro and I didn't see any weird things, but it did make me sleepy and lethargic. If the medicine is making you tired it could be contributing to hallucinations which are pretty common for exhaustion. Or the two could be totally unrelated. You could just be having bad dreams. Go to you r doctor and they will either cut your dose in half or take you off it temporarily to see if there are any changes in behavior. But be careful, coming off lexapro is like having PMS for like 2 weeks straight (Irritability).
PS When my Dr. put me on Lexapro and I complained about the sleepiness she put me on adderall as well.
Lexapro is an evil medicine just like Effexor or paxil, try adderrall or lorazapam it sounds strange combo but it balances out you will see
Not at all. Please talk to your Dr about this asap. It may take a while before you find the right anti-depressant. Good luck.
I was on Lexapro for a while and started having mood swings and night mares. I would dream the weirdest things, such as killing people etc. I normally would not have these feelings. You need to get your DR to switch you to another medication. I found I was better of with out medication if I had to take Lexapro. Also Paxil. Zoloft and Proxac did me the same way. Be careful about taking these meds they have different side affects with different people. I have seen some that do well on these meds, but I myself can not take them
