Answers:
You need to talk to a therapist. You have obsessive fears that can be controlled with therapy and medication. It could get worse without treatment.
You can rid yourself of these thoughts through medication. I had the same problem. It's very scarey for sure. I have schizophrenia and I take Abilify in the morning and at night. Now I don't have these fears anymore. I'm not saying you have this illness, but it is some type of mental paranoia that can be treated. We live in some scarey times with all the murders on TV, etc. Try to avoid watching these things for awhile and give yourself a break from the insanity. Good Luck!
I would pray about this first.I would make sure my home was safe. Try to keep your mind off of this...don't watch the news for awhile, scary movies, true crime series, and don't read anything relating to any crime. You might consider taking a self defense class, that will make you feel more confidant. Make sure your neighborhood is patrolled by your police department and speak to trusted friends about your fears.Last but not least get a dog, they are great pals and hear a lot better than us. Best wishes!
If you live in fear of everything that could possibly happen to you, you'll never enjoy life. The odds of this fear coming true are remote so, just let it go, enjoy life and whatever it throws at you.
