What is making you feel depressed? Try to figure it out and make changes in your life to control whatever it is bothering you. If that does not work try getting out, find a hobby or activity to keep you busy. Still not working, talk to a therapist and/or get on Meds for depression. THis is nothing to feel weird about, alot of people are on depresstion meds. Its just a part of life.find what works for you! Life is to short.

See a therapist. Let her/him help you figure out if talk therapy is the best course or medication and talk therapy are more appropriate.
Try talking to others about it like your family and friends.
First find the reason for the depression then you and doctors ,councillors etc start to help you resolve the problems and that is the only way to over come it
Don't be afraid to pursue the medication option if it comes to that. For me, talking about why I'm depressed only makes me more depressed. If it's chemical, you may need meds.
i was depressed over a breakup. my depression lasted 10 months and i cried everyday. but there comes a day when u say enough is enough. you can seek advice from anyone, but u, deep down, have to have some kinda of and "ah- ha" moment. something will go off like a little light bulb and you will say today is a new day and screw whatever it is that made me depressed.
Talk to someone that you trust. Sometimes this person may help you to overcome your depression.

If this dosen't help, then you need to see a doctor.

I've battled depression for many years and tried the usual things, therapy.medication even ECT. The only thing that works for me is amood stabilizer called Lamictil. If you go the medication route, and a Dr tries to give you an SSRI - like Prozac or Zoloft ,Paxil etc.- they don't work, at least for me- sometimes they start to work = then they make me manic- i was never manic before taking these meds - then they stop working. Lamictil takes a long time to work-about 6-8 wks.-
but it is worth the wait to be free of depression. Therapy can
help too if you find a good therapist- they are few and far between. Ideally a good therapist and the proper medication helps the most.
