Could This Be Anxiety?

Question:
I'm worrying a lot and I can't help it. This never happened to me before and I don't know what to do. Recently I've been worrying a lot about my boyfriend. He likes to sleep a lot but I keep thinking that when he's sleep something will happen, and his phone doesn't always wake him up so it makes me worry even more (fyi my sister died in her sleep in 2004). Then along with that other little things that normally don't bug me have been. Ohh yeahh and I've had little chest pains (probably from worrying)

Answers:
Sounds like the early stages of an anxiety disorder esp the chest pains see a doc and explain asap
It sounds like it. I have it, but the outbreaks are far and few between.
Actually this sounds like it may be anxiety brought on by stress.

Don't dismiss this, even if you think it's nothing. Find someone to talk to about life and get several opinions. Decide for yourself. If you think it's getting worse seek professional help.

That chest pain thing is unsettling though. Stress will do that.

By the way, I think everybody likes to sleep a lot but aren't able to do so. Consider him one of the lucky few (fyi, my best friend died in her sleep in '04).
sounds like classic anxiety to me. see your doctor...if they aren't responsive.see a mental health professional.and you are correct and thinking that the chest pain is related to the anxiety.most women have enough estrogen to protect the heart from cardiac trouble (though your sister dying in her sleep is concerning) good luck but please get some help.this can become disabling
that chest pain called as angina or spacm in medical name. i have experiencing it too because of my anxiety in the past (7 years ago).
so if you ask me, whether is it anxiety or not? so, yes it is.
but don't worry, you could treat it anyway, wihtout prescription or supplement, this could help you

Sounds like you've got some obsession issues (a form of anxiety)

I would recommend you call your general practioner and ask if he or she can refer you to a therapist familiar with anxiety and obsession.
OK here goes. Worry is a helpless feeling that we get when we have no control of our surroundings. But do we ever have any control. My suggestion is that you stop and accept the fact that you have no control and let go of the feelings of helplessness. It sounds simple but this is called Cognitive Rehabilitative Therapy. This is where you make a conscious choice to accept a situation that upsets you and let go of the negative feelings. So when you find your self angry, sad, worried, accept that feeling own it because no one else is feeling it, and truly let go of the negative feeling. I learned this from a psychiatrist named Rodriguez in River Crest Hospital In San Angelo Texas. # 1-800-777-5722
Yep! That's anxiety. You seem to be afraid of things over which you have no control. The trauma of your sister dying in her sleep is unresolved. Try getting some counseling, and see a psychiatrist for some anti-anxiety meds. Also, you can do Xi Gong, which is a form of relaxation and breathing.
Yup. You need Ativan
Yes,it sounds like anxiety. What I do is exercise,do something active.anxiety can make you physically sick. You need to work it off so that it will not damage your body.Have a physical and talk to your doctor about it.
anxiety possibly PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) either of which can be helped with the assistance of your doctor and a decent psychiatrist
Now before I get too far into this, let me first say that 90% of Americans are not getting enough sleep. A favorite teacher once told us, you work 8 hours, play 8 hours and sleep 8 hours. That has served me well into my life.
You didnt mention what you consider sleeping 'too long'...if its 8 or 9 hours, perhaps his body needs that much sleep to recouperate. If is over 10 or 12 hours, then that could be a sign of stress, depression (even laziness).all sorts of possibilities. If its in the last category, he may need to see a sleep therapist.
Please, see a psychologist to help you through this. A go to a movie rental, and if you hav'nt already seen it, check out the movie "The 5 people you meet in heaven." Watch it twice!.....dan
Its anxiety/panic disorder begining.
