Is there a disorder where you can never decide on something?
Question:
And once I finally do usually I wish I had chosen something else!
Is this a disorder?
Thanks...
Answers:
Nope
Your Just Indecisive...
no lol u juss cant make up ur mind im like that 2 its not a disorder
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure.
I have ADD( attention deficit disorder) it causes me to do that.
It could be, but I just call it "wishy-washy-itis".
Just give yourself a time limit (like 30 seconds), and once you decide, NEVER second guess yourself -- stick with what you choose, and then DROP IT ! You're just trying to drive yourself crazy, and this indecisiveness could accelerate out of control (this is just one example of being a drama queen -- turning everything into a life or death, soap opera dramatic event). JUST STOP and immediately occupy yourself with something else. Most things you decide on aren't very important anyway!
Talk to a therapist for some good decision making suggestions.
.
Its not a disorder... its just your way of making decisions.
i went on this course for work, to help me manage project... i learnt that to have a successful team you need a variety of people with different personalities. You sound like myself, i did the personality profiling and came out to be a "judge/monitor" personality
PROS
makes level headed judgments based on all the information available.
tend to have a the bigger picture in mind, and how the choices they make will affect the people/departments around them.
tend to bring unbiased views to a discussion.
CONS
refuses to make a decision without looking into all other avenues and possibilities thus slowing the project down.
logic based, anything not based on sound foundations causes problem.
tend to be a pessimist
its not a bad thing, but people will always come to you with their problems. hope that helps you to understand yourself!
Indecisiveness can be a part of Depression or Dependent Personality DIsorder.
I'm not saying you have either one; but if you have other symptoms of depression or if you have an unusually high need for other people's approval; either one would be a possibility.
I feel like that sometimes and I have depression. However, it doesn't really bother me as much as it did when I was younger.
There isn`t a disorder out there for EVERYTHING!!
I really don't think it is a disorder either. But I do the same thing all the time. I have found it very helpful to narrow it down to two things and flip a coin. It's so simple and I'm always satisfied with the outcome. Try it.
