Were u ever in a situation where it lead to the developing of posttraumatic stress disorder?

Question:
How could a person overcome the trauma that led to the disorder?

Answers:
Good question and since i have PTSD i can only say that it's impossible to avoid if a major traumatic event happens in your life and even harder to overcome! No one can give you the answer. Even the professionals are in disagreement as to weva PTSD can be 'cured' or not!
Hypnotherapy is a good option. I am currently applying to be certified in it and it is amazing the transformation I saw with videotapes of long-time hypnotherapists helping people who've been through a traumatic event. I have never been traumatized to the point of acquiring PTSD but my husband's Dad had it (he was a WWII vet); there are treatments that would have helped but he never got it. He lost a battle with lung cancer before he had a chance to get treated.
I do not have it but my son was diagnosed with it. He was with his older brother when his older brother passed away suddenly. Very suddenly. I can only tell you he did go to counseling for a short time and seems to be doing ok with it. I do not know how he does it. He must be a very strong person.
