If you went to psychotherapy, who would you tell...?

Question:
Would you tell only your spouse, bf, gf, significant other?
Family member(s)?
Friends? Neighbors?
Coworkers you feel close to?
Your boss?
Only someone who needed to know, to help them, perhaps?
Only someone who may commit suicide, otherwise?
Or, no one?

Answers:
I would just tell my close friends and family
I've been to plenty of psychotherapy seasons. Just relax, answer the questions the Psychologist asks. There is nothing to be afraid of, just never admit to a crime.
Only you can make the decision of who you want to know and who you don't want to know... If you are there for depression and have thought about suicide then I think a few 1-3 people who you are closest to and trust the most should know... Other than that you can tell as many or as little people as you feel comfortable with... No one needs to know honestly...
No one. There is already so much discrimination against mental illness, that by admitting that you goto therapy would make it worse.

People would stigmatize you.
if i was a psycho i dont think i would need to tell...it would be obvious
Personally i tell everyone and anyone. I am not ashamed to admit that I'm nuts and need help/am in receipt of help!! :)
Significant other? Yes, we're close and I can trust him.

Family members? No, it's none of their business. What would be the point except stirring up drama?

Friends? No, again, it would only cause drama. Besides, most people don't want to be dragged down by someone who has depression or some other mental illness. It's just too negative. People want a positive enviroment.

Neighbors? No, this can cause problems in the neighborhood and again, it's none of their business.

Coworkers or boss? Oh hell no! Although employers cannot fire a person for being mentally ill, there is enough stigma that one can lose their job and future job opportunities if this sort of issue slips. There is always a justifiable excuse to not hire/fire someone. It's always a bad idea to let such personal details slip at work.

Anyone else? Depends on the risk factors involved, but I wouldn't see how it would be anything but a pain for me. The other guy, well he can figure life out on his own.
only someone who needed or close friends
