The best coping tip is to find something you really love to do and throw yourself into it.
Since you will be focusing on what you are doing, you will not be focusing on how you feel or think or behave.
Keep your brain and your body busy doing things that make you happy.
Learn to do many things including sports and other physical activities.
Just remember that while you are thinking about you other people are thinking about themselves too.
So the world is not just for you but for everyone.
Don't get off the medications until you have either outgrown it or, through therapy, developed self-controlling mechanisms to handle it. DBT (dialectic behavior therapy) has helped many curbing impulsive behavior and it may be a help with you as well, so ask your mental health practitioner.
