Answers:
I know how upsetting it can be for many guys. The best bet is to search for a plastic surgeon near you that specializes in treating this condition. These people are trained and can tell you for sure what your options are, if it's just 'fat' or actual breast gland tissue. They will also have you do blood work to see if there are any underlying hormonal issues that can be causing it. A general doctor may or may not know enough about this condition as an experienced plastic surgeon would (and these types of surgeries have been getting more attention and popularity).

Go to gynecomastia.org for references, they also have a helpful message board. If you have true gyno, breast gland tissue, no amount of dieting or spot reduction will work. There are some strong drugs, pills/gels, that may work, but I wouldn't mess with them personally. Depending on your location insurance may not cover it (most U.S. states don't unless it's causing you pain or illness), and costs average 3-6 thousand dollars. But definitely go for a free consultation with a plastic surgeon, you don't have to live with this.

Other Answers:
this is something a Dr could tell you, but as far as I know, surgery is the only remedy. I would read on the net about it and see if there is promise for another treatment. did you know that some kids outgrow this? I sympathize with you, but remember, nobody is perfect. The models you see are not perfect, they take drugs and don't eat to maintain an unhealthy figure and use lots of make up. If you saw these actors/models on the street, you wouldn't even notice them. Don't try all kinds of risky therapy, a real dr is the only one to talk to. good luck.

Haven't you noticed how ignorant some of the people on youqa.com are? For real medical problems go to a real doctor.
