Are there any advantages or disadvantages of 'Going commando'?

Question:
That is, not wearing any underwear at all. I've recently started to not wear underwear but I want to know if there are any long term health risks.

I felt a bit chafed after I went on a marathon sprint without any briefs, but I think I'm used to it now.

Answers:
Going Commando or Freeballing, both are the samething. I have gone without underwear under my shorts for years now. Never had any type of health problems, no infections or anything. Just keep yourself clean down there and after a bath or shower dry everything good down there. In a marathon, you should wear a jock or underwear for support. Other than that let them swing away and support their own weight. Mine hang low and they do some good swinging. Love it. I'm careful out in public, but in my car or at home they slide out the leg part of my shorts.

Other Answers:
Zippers
If you soil your underpants than you can go commando
It's actually better for your "boys" to hang free and easy! Less compaction of the stuff that makes the babies! LOL And going commando looks nice in a pair of nice fitting jeans! LOL ;)
if you wear not cotton clothes only you can get some kind of infection, one of STDs for example, you can also accidentaly zip your penis in zipper while you zip trousers, ive heard its painfull:P
yup its very easy to access when when having a quickie somewhere dangerous.but health wise ive never heard of anything against it
advantage: easy access

disadvantage: you might get a zipper cut on the old garden snake like i did a few years ago. it left a little scar too.
make sure ur tally whacker doesnt get caught in ur zipper
Hold the 'boyz' up now or they'll hang to and fro before you know.
After you go to the bathroom, don't rub your butt with your pants.
The only real health risk would be like in a marathon, you need support. Other than that, the all to common zipper! Wear pants with no zipper and you have no problem. It is like wearing boxers!!
Just void shorts.
