I am an American not Thai, so take that into consideration with my answer.
Here is a definition I found for the word gender:
"Gender is a person's innate sense of themselves as being male or female, which may differ from their biological sex. Sex and gender are often used interchangably, but they are not the same. People whose sex and gender differ are known Transgender."
People are complicated, so it's always hard to say what's in a person's heart. But we all know that we need others and want love and acceptence from others. Sometimes people go about finding acceptence and love in not very good ways. I think that's what you mean with your question about when transgender people don't tell the men they meet.
I can think of other reasons, for example they are afraid of being hurt or rejected.
It's hard to understand, but it does help to know that there are some people whose sense of themselves is different from their biological sex. Some people are born with genitalia which don't match their sex. But sometimes the genitals are plainly one sex and still a person feels deeply they are the opposite sex from their body. There is no evil in their hearts in this.
Sometimes some people respond to hurt and rejection with bad plans. But that's far from most transgender people. It's a great capcity to accept people as they are. We all have gifts to share.
