What exactly is envoled in an average docyor checkup for a sixteen year old male?

Question:
The subject is healthy overall. What kind of samples will they want, what tests will they preform, ect. ect.

Answers:
I wasn't going to answer this but with wise guys like kopguy you need someone that will give you a truthful straight answer. A doctors exam for a teenager (school exam) involves him checking your vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate and pulse. He may have you jump up and down for a minute to raise your heart rate. He will listen your your lungs and heart from your chest and back. He will look at your legs and feet (it is a way to check circulation) They will look at your eyes, nose and throat. Then he will ask you to lower your shorts so he can check your genitals and see if development is okay. He will then do a hernia check where he places a finger next to your penis in the lower abdominal area and will ask you to turn your head and cough. He then may or may not ask you to turn around and bend over and do a quick prostate check which requires him to insert a finger into your anus about an inch to feel the prostate gland. The whole process will take about 20 minutes and you will have your shorts down for about 5 minutes. If you are nervous about being seen naked and getting an erection that in it self will probably keep it from happening. Don't worry everything will go fine.

Other Answers:
It varies a lot depending on the doctor and the circumstances of the exam. Usually, though, they'll take blood and urine samples. Expect to have your shirt off for most of the exam and everything off for a small part of it. At 16 they'll probably check you for testicular cancer and hernias (which is the most unpleasant part of it -- the doctor will squeeze and poke around your private parts), but they probably won't check your prostrate (finger up the bottom).
