anyone, please help?

im 16 years old and am very self conscious about my body because i have mild acne and feel "fat" i guess. how can i cure my acne and build my self esteem up so i can finally ask my crush out. ( i have tried several acne medications and none seem to work. im also 6' and 145lbs)

Adolescence can be a very trying time for many people. What you're feeling is normal uncertainty about your physical appearance.

At your height and weight...you're not "fat". In fact, I suspect you're quite thin.

Acne is part of adolescence. Have you talked to your family doctor about all the available treatments? And if your acne is mild...then it can be controlled.

The problem isn't with your outside appearance, your esteem problems are coming from inside. I encourage you to talk about your feelings with someone you trust. You may even want to consider some counseling from a psychologist. This isn't because you're "crazy"...it's to help you learn tools with which you can strengthen your esteem.

it sounds to me that you should hit the gym, I know that whenever I work out it makes me feel better about myself. You say that your fat, but your height and weight stats seem that you are pretty skinny. My advice is to make sure that you have self confidence and try not to act insecure, that shows to the girls, and they want you to be confident in yourself.

First off confidence is key. There are SOOO many ugly people walking around thinking they are all that, and guess what, they get dates because they are convinced they are wonderful. So know that ur special. I have acne too, and I went to the derm and her prescribed me Rosula pads, (awesome), I use a benzoyl peroxide cleanser and lotion, works like a charm, havent had a new pimple in months. Please exercise, girls like athletic guys, and get involved in something ladies like guys who have a life, because we feel like ur more important.
Forget the herbs crap... If you have a serious acne problem, find a dermatologist and have him write a prescription of "Accutane" for you. It really works.

If you feel fat, the only way is dieting and excercising. Sweating will also make you look and feel more better. You can actually see a improvement of acne when you sport regularly.
