for the last few months ive been working on my abs and i see that my upper abs are showing, but lower arent?

Question:
what kind of exercises would be good for the development of lower abs?

Answers:
the lower abs are much more difficult to work out because they are buried under more layers of muscle than the upper ones are. they are located much deeper in the body, so it is necessary to lose some weight from the lower abdominal area too in order to make them show up better.

there are a variety of exercises for lower abs. i would use google to find a good website that will give you some pictures or video of what to do.

Other Answers:
ok...crunches work the upper abdominal, and full sit-ups work the lower abdominal...and when you go up for a crunch...turn you whole upper body to the right...then do the same for the left..and you will soon recieve all you full abs...best of luck
Yo.
Lay down straight on your back. Feet in front of you, then lift one leg towards your head then lift your head towards you knee.
Your leg should come up straight (so don't bend it) Then bring it down and do the same with the other leg, quite simple, then there is the one were you cross your legs and then criss cross knee to elbow.
Simple as that you"ll see results in about 2 weeks.
i am a power lifter and i use dumbbells i use a 60 pound dump bell pick it and hold it just a little higher then the stomach/chest and crunch with it i can only do about 25 and i will do it 3 or 4 times a day
you should do leg lifts, where you keep you legs at a low angle for periods of time- it works your lower abs.
sit-ups usually only work the upper abs.
Well i have been working on mine for about 6 weeks and i have the top 4 but i found that doing leg lifts help the bottom 2 to show leg lifts meaning lying on your back and lifting your legs up 12 inches then back down to 3 inches "off the ground" do like 3 sets of 30 3 times a week and in maybe 2 weeks u will start to see a diffracts but i sure u hear this all the time "good abs are made in the kitchen" eat health it helps allot!
