Straight men do check each other out and it does not mean they are gay. People are naturally curious about each others body, male or female. Women do it all the time, and society accepts it. Women can tell each other how great their boobs look, but can we tell each other "dude, your penis looks great!" in the locker room? No--because then we would be labeld as gay.

It's just another example of the old double standard.

There are many many situation where men compare bodies, look at body building for example.

Its perfectly natural, and I think a lot of it is comparison. Like maybe you think your balls hang too low, so in the locker room you sneak a peek to see how others balls are hanging.

That does not make you gay.

Straight men and women can still look at one another. as you say, out of curiosity, or they may be admiring the other person, with no other intent than a little envy. Or they may be congratulating themselves on being the better looking. :-)

checking someone out doesn;t necessarily imply that you are doing it for sexual purposes..im straight and i have been bodybuilding for an year and everyone at the gym checks each other out ..sometimes you just like the shirt someone is wearing or they are too good looking to not look at..i feel that people insecure about their sexuality feel that way..especially in american culture, even little contact or show of affection among guys is taken to be homosexuality..perhaps the western/american cuture has become so sexually saturated that more and more heterosexuals are finding themselves insecure..

as for the question, yes itd for curiousity and to see if their penis is bigger so they can be proud..or if they have a better body then the rest..
