How long do most guys last on average during sex?

I was having a discussion with my BF (we're virgins) and he mentioned that guys usually only last a few minutes (as in like, 3 minutes) their first time. I was like "NO WAY! surely they last longer than that!" So seriously, their first time, or first FEW times for that matter---how long do guys last during sex?
Idk why, but I've just assumed that guys last around 15-20 minutes, is that false?

on average, it's actually only 1.5 minutes.. sad isn't it? but in all honesty males can be ready to go again in a very short amount of time, and usually for a lot longer.. on the following times it usually is more in the 20-30 minute range, and for some even longer.. remember, this is just an average.. some men may last 2 hours on their first go.. but that would be rare indeed. also, since you are both virgins.. sometimes nerves will play a large factor.. i've known some men to not get off on their first tries, and some to get off before the first try starts lol.. it's all about relaxation.. then you can apply the rule from above...
