I was for three years & then I had a kidney transplant. It gave me back my life. Dialysis totally changes your life, and not for the better. It does keep you alive, but the restrictions on your lifestyle/diet/activities can be tough to get used to. It beats dying, but if it's possible for you to receive a transplant, do it.
