Upper Left leg numbness?
Question:
Answers:
It could be a result of a herniated disc pinching a nerve. Whenever I lift something wrong and my lower back goes out i'll get shooting pains down the back side of my legs and get partial numbness to the tops of my thighs. All I do is take an anti-inflammatory drug like motrin or alleve and rest my back. It tends to heal itself over a couple of weeks. That's actually a speedy recovery time for most people because we spend most of out lives lifting incorrectly and that one time we do something wrong, we end up in pain.
My recommendation is to steer away from prescription drugs, get set up with a physical therapist. Massage therapy does wonders as well.
Good Luck
my mother had the same problem, she had vericose veins, i think men can get those too, so maybe thats it.
or maybe you have a blood clot?
Yes.
Try to be cautious when moving, sitting, lifting, bending, etc.
Do some gentle yoga exercises and consult your doctor if things get worse. A chiropractor might be helpfull. Some people "hang" upside down several times a day by their feet to stretch the spine and relieve pressure, re-allign things. Ask your doctor about these too.

Chow!!
I have an herniated disk in my lower spine too, and I have the same symptoms as you. No Doctor have been able to explain any other reason for this discomfort . Maybe all this have something to do with bad circulation of the blood, due to smoking, and since I did give up smoking, my leg have improved by at least 40%.
