What can i do to cure my Erectile Dysfunction while taking Catepres? please help me. Im too young for this?

I am a 21 year old male, and i have been on Catepres for many years for my Teretz syndrome. I am perfectly healthy otherwise, but i cannot maintain erections/ get completely hard/ and I sometimes have trouble achieving erections at all. I am certain that the Catepres is causing my E.D. because when i DONT take the Catepres for a few days, my erections are fine. Is there anything I can do about this? I cant stop taking my Catepres, but its affecting my sex life immensely! please help me..i am desperate....i dont want this to be the cause of another failed relationship.

Catepres is typically a medication used to lower your blood pressure. Unfortunatly, it does cause sexual dysfunction because erections are basically caused by blood rushing into the vessels in your penis thus making it hard. Catepres interfers with this process. You MUST talk to your doctor about either lowering the dose, switching meds, or possible prescribing Viagra or something similar. DO NOT DO THIS ON YOUR OWN AS IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS. I am a RN and have seen men with this problem many times. Good luck!

I would talk to the doctor. He might be able to lower your dosage or prescribe a different medication. It is definitely worth talking to him about.
