Nerve shockings?

Question:
i have noticed that everytime i hit my hand or bump it, it shockes me. internally. it only happens in certain spots though. is this normal. am i just pinching a nerve or something.

Answers:
The Ulna nerve is famous for doing this. It runs close to the surface along the back of the elbow, and if you hit it, you will feel an electrical pulse. I'm not sure why people call it the 'funny bone' because it doesn't feel funny when you hit it!

Yes, there are many nerves near the surface of the body that can provide this feeling. It's not normally a problem, but if it is happening to you constantly I would see a neurologist for an EMG or other recommended nerve assessment.
