this is so embarrassing, but.?

Question:
A couple weeks ago i went three days without peeing, I went to the E.R. and they catheterized me. Said they could not figure it out. I went to a urologist, a week and a half later , the closest appointment i could get. He said there is nothing wrong with me. It was a five minute meeting, he said im too young and there is no problem. He checked my prostate and thats good.Yet even after he said im fine, I have trouble urinating, its painful in the shaft of the penis, It's also starting to cause sexual problems. My question is Should i go back to him and demand invasive tests to figure this out? or just let the problem be and possibly get worse? Have any of you ever experienced this before?

Answers:
My son had the same symptoms as you describe and we took him to the doctor. Turned out to be kidney stones.

Sounds like you need to seek another doctor for a second opinion.

Sounds like you should go and see a different doctor. You might even want to see a specialist. You should most certainly go to see another doctor and be persistant that there is a real problem with your urinating and performing sexually. Just because you are young doesn't mean you can't have a medical problem. I would definitly found out whats going on cause thats not good. But I wouldnt go back to the same doctor, thats for sure

If your urologist thinks painfull urination is normal, you need to find a new urologist. (And you need to send your old one a request for your money back. start by calling him a quack, and threaten to take him to the state medical boards.)

ok,,let me ask u this,, do u drink a lot of alcohol?? if u do, this can interfere with the male urination because it temporarily enlarges the prostate which can block urination,, if u don't drink a lot,, i would seek a second opinion and fast,, either way find out the problem soon before any permanent damage occurs,, good luck

see another doctor I have not suffered to that extent.
did any of them advise you to drink more water?
when you do urinate you should observe the color. if it is richly brown or yellow you should drink more water.
perhaps you could drink beer or wine twice a week. you may be too tense.

Are you by chance having rectal sex? I don't mean in your rectum but in someone Else's? I met a woman a few years back and she liked it that way best. It gave me an infection and I had close to the same problems as you. Go to a doctor and fess up. New doctors will not find it till it gets really bad or you go to an old time doctor who has seen the problem before. get a second doc.

There is a possibility that your body needed that fluid intake during the period of time you didn't pee. Just like when your body needs to nutrients from the food you eat, you don't crap a lot. You may have been over exercising and most of the moisture was released through your sweat glands. You may have also been dehidrated - if that was the case, I would seek another opinion. But in most cases it's because you body processing the fluids and there isn't anything there to excreat out down the way as waste.

get a second opion
