Has anyone undergone lithotripsy?
Question:
Answers:
I had litho in September and am having a second one in November. The stone is still there, but my doctor thinks the first procedure may have weakened it where the second one will finish breaking it up so it can pass. It does depend on where the stone is located and what it's made of. Many people need more than one procedure. I was under general anesthesia and knew nothing about the procedure and had no pain at all. The only discomfort was feeling zoned out by the anesthesia for a few hours afterwards. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Good luck.
depends on how big the stone is, where it is, and what is it composed of
few sesions and u ll get rid of ur stone
The process generally takes about 1 hour during which up to 8,000 shocks are administered. The patient will experience some discomfort during the treatment depending on the patent's pain tolerance. Analgesics may be administered to make the patient more comfortable. usually very successful and wasn't to pain full for me
