I fully second the views expressed by Harsh. Now the remedy lies in your life style. If you take my words (experienced myself), you can come out of it with a bang. Listen to Swami Ramdev, he is a genius.

1. Start doing Yoga (Particularly Pranayam)
2. Start playing some sports (like badminton, table tennis or others)
3. Mingle with your friends and be natural in your laughter, expression of your views and suggesting others.
4. If possible come out of your stress environment. It may sound impossible but if you remain there in the same state of mind, that would be worse. Better come out of it with a bold decision even if you have to face several hardships. Have faith in your ability to sustain life and proper.

My best wishes with you. It would work I may assure you.
If you've been to several neurologists and they only give you meds that don't work and they are suggesting that you see a psychiatrist, then maybe you should listen to that advice, and go. It couldn't hurt, it may actually help. There's a fairly interesting article about the link between depression and weak nerves that you might want to check out. It says that doctors at John Hopkins gave Prozac to rats and found that not only did it change brain chemistry it generated new nerve endings (at least in the brain, whether it'll work for all the nerves in the body I don't know). Give the psychiatrist a try.
