Is there something you can do so you don't dream when you sleep?
Question:
Answers:
Sleep experts say we sleep IN ORDER TO dream, otherwise we could just lie down and rest for 8 hours. Without dreams, we would probably go mad.
You don't need to get rid of dreams, but to manage them. Try to figure out what is bothering you and "process" the dreams.
Make sure you don't eat for at least 4 hours before bedtime, don't drink coffee in the evening, don't go to bed late, don't exercise near bed time (except sex of course) and don't watch or read anything too stimulating before going to sleep. That way you aren't disturbing your sleep cycle.
Obviously something is really bothering you a lot. Our dreams are our minds playing out life in different ways. I would suggest talking to a professional about it. Maybe after some relaxation techniques and talk therapy, you will sleep like a baby without drugs. Try it.
