asphasia or brain damage?

Question:
car crash coma 4 months

Answers:
well you gotta have brain damage to get aphasia.. aphasia is usually damage to the brocas area of the brain. Is this you? if so, do you understand when people talk to you or does is sound like mumble jumble. that would be the weirnekes area (pardon my spelling, in a hurry). Asphasia could be temporary, or permanent. Is their swelling? If there is, speech may come back when swelling goes down.

Other Answers:
Aphasia is a transient loss of ability to speak, isn't it? Comas are brain-damage induced, right?
