low heart rate?

Question:
It is said that normal heart rate is between 70 and 80 bpm. My is between 45 and 50. Is it too low? I'm 19y, 6'3'', 200p.

Answers:
Actually a heart rate of 60 is normal, but yours is quite a lot lower than that. Are you very athletic? (People who are in very good physical condition often have heart rates like yours.) Is your heart beat regular or does it skip beats? Do you feel dizzy or pass out when you stand up suddenly?

If you are not particularly athletic, or if your heart rate is irregular, or if you routinely feel dizzy or pass out when standing up suddenly, you need to see a doctor.
