What is the best way to destress?

Question:
I love my work. But I'm just so stressed out. Any suggestions?

Answers:
Your ID suggest you are a doctor. When my husband had his heart attack and was out of work for a long time, I had to work more hours as a Ger-phsyc nurse. 80 a week to be exact. My doctor said I worked more than he did. Once my husband was able to return to work, I quit one of my jobs. I know you can't do this, but I sat down on my days off, no TV, no music, just sat and read, or did anything that relaxed me because I was so burned out as many in the medical profession get. On hot days, I laid in my pool on a raft and slept, then I would go for a leisurely walk, soak in the tub and things like that. It really worked and I knew if I didn't do something to relax, I was headed for a complete break down. So make some time for yourself. You deserve some Rand R. Stay healthy, people need you.

Other Answers:
Exercise is great at relieving stress. I run and it helps me cool off after a bad day at work.

If your married or dating, sex is also great for this.

take time off, but don't let anyone else know where you are.
get a massage.
masturbate.
garden.
soak in a pool.
drink a brandy before bed on a Friday.
in Japan, I've see where companies set up proxy boss rooms, where employees can scream at and beat on models of their boss.
go camping.
play with your dog.
if you have no dog, go shop for a dog (even if you don't intend to buy, play with a puppy)
start a project for yourself, not too easy, but one that you know you can finish. A hot bath

Go to the beach

Or simply do dartboarding. Its how I destress :)
