i have a enlarged testicle the doctor thinks it is a hydrocele i would like to know what causes these i am 24?
Question:
Answers:
A hydrocele is a collection of serous (semi clear) fluid that results from a defect or irritation in the scrotum. These usually happen in young boys between the ages of 1&2 and in men that are 40 or better.
Treatment
Hydrocele's will normally resolve themselves but may have to be surgically repaired to prevent it from happening again. They can aspirate and drain the fluid as a quick fix but nothing is stopping it from happening again.

A hydrocele is a watery fluid buildup around the testes. It is very common and little is known as to why they occur. However because of your age you may have unknowingly injured yourself or perhaps have an infection in your testes. This problem usually is most frequent in newborn males and males 40 and over. If you should feel that your current doctor is not treating you correctly perhaps you should ask for a second opinion.
