does any body know how the hospital will get rid of the boil on my boyfriends bum.?

the doctor will lance it and then apply dressing for the draininge. It is not necessary to go to a hospitial, it can be done in the doctor's office.

They will probably just lance it to release the pus inside which will release the pressure that causes pain and put a dressing on it. Unless it is really big and bad they are unlikely to give him antibiotics.

my bf same but he wont go to the Dr's with it they will give him a infection and take it out it hurts a bit as lancing does

Try this! Get a milkbottle & put hot water in it (Not to hot to break it!) empty it & immediately put the open end of bottle onto the boil & hold it there. The contraction of the steam cooling will 'suck' the boil & force the puss out into the bottle. PLEASE dont 'Rinse & Return' the bottle ...... it dont bear thinkin about!

They will probably lance it with a needle and put him on a course of anti-biotics, painful, but once lanced the relief will be joy itself!
